You know it's going to be fun when the assignment has the word toys in it. So I couldn't pick just one. I created a mosaic, a magazine cover, and a trading card. My son appreciated the magazine cover with the photo of him and his son, but I was still looking for something for which I could readily see an immediate use.
It was the trading card. Using a photo of my yorkie Emma, I designed a trading card for the book How to steal a dog from this year's Texas Bluebonnet Award reading list. This is a project that I would like to turn over to students. Maybe this is where I could get students using those cameras to find their own photos to represent a book and create a card for it. Hmmmmm, and could they be used as bookmarks?
